Jeremy - Pearl Jam

De uno de los mejores albumes de Grunge de los 90s (y de la historia), el TEN de Pearl Jam, sale este sencillo llamado Jeremy, sencillo que fue nominado no solo por su canción, si no también por este su video, el cual de hecho mejor video del año 93.

La canción y video están inspiradas en un articulo de un periódico donde contaba que un chavalo de 16 años se pegó un tiro en su cabeza al frente de sus compañeros de clase, tal y como lo hace el video, que la verdad es increible. Estas fueron las palabras de Eddie Vedder al respecto de la canción:

It came from a small paragraph in a paper which means you kill yourself and you make a big old sacrifice and try to get your revenge. That all you're gonna end up with is a paragraph in a newspaper...it does nothing...nothing changes. The world goes on and you're gone. The best revenge is to live on and prove yourself. Be stronger than those people. And then you can come back

Increible, luego de este video, Pearl Jam no lanzó un video más, hasta 5 años después, que lanzaron Do The Evolution (muy seguramente futuro material de este blog).
